BIKEABILITY
Old or Young; once-experienced hands (/pedalling feet!) or entirely new to cycling? We have got you covered. We are your one stop shop whatever your experience level and whatever your requirements to get you back on a bike.
We want to provide a support network for every facet of the journey (excuse the pun!) for those who currently don't feel able to cycle, but who would really love to given the right guidance.
As well as children, we know that some parents are out of practice and find the prospect of relearning cycling daunting and quite intimidating (and understandably so).
From bike-ability classes; to local-buddy partnering; to tandem rides, we help to guide you through whatever route you feel most comfortable so you can get started moving towards your goals (again, pardon the pun!)

As a club led by members, we go beyond an ordinary hire offering (although we believe we are very good at just this also!). We have a package of benefits that all members have access to from complimentary safety-gear hire; collective carbon-tracking apps; member-led group rides; bespoke cycling insurance offers or unlimited complimentary club coffee!
All designed to add even more smiles per pedal turned. We truly believe our perks are worth any fee on their own.
CYCLE SERVICING & REPAIR
We are determined to play our part in keeping Enfield's bike wheels-a-turning.
To enable this we have setup a full workshop in-house so that, along with servicing any of our hire fleet, we can now offer a full suite of servicing and repair options to our members and the wider general public to boot.
To ensure we are putting as many bikes back in motion locally, we offer a range of service levels & repairs; from puncture repairs; to those looking for a basic tune-up "MOT"; to those seeking a more advanced service. See our service page for further details here.
Of course if you have your own cargo bike that needs a bit of TLC we would be very happy to lend our expertise here equally!

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE
No ordinary bikes. No ordinary bike club. We don't host thousands of identikit bikes. We offer a small range of unique family cycles, that in-so-doing we hope one of which will be unique enough to match your family's own requirements. Think of us as your local family cycling library.

BASED IN THE COMMUNITY- ACCOUNTABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY
We are not a faceless online entity. As a demonstration of our commitment to the community we seek to serve, we have taken up residence in bricks and mortar on the high street.
We believe this face-to-face engagement is critically important to the quality of service we can offer. We can setup bikes to ensure safety and provide a base for inductions, bikeability training and so much more.
Since we are not a pure retail operation (although we do sell occasionally!) we believe we are uniquely placed to provide impartial advice to help you and your family obtain the best set up to suit your needs, every time.

COMMUNITY INTEREST SOCIAL ENTERPRISE- OUR MEMBERS ARE ALL POWERFUL!
We are a community interest company (CIC), limited by guarantee. As a CIC, we have committed formally to our social objectives of enhancing cycling accessibility. It ensures we stay true to this objective at all times. It also means we are a not-for-profit. If we generate a surplus, this gets reinvested in the entity, and kept very local. We have no shareholders.
We want to go further than pure brass tacks however. We are committed to giving members decision-making power about which direction the club moves in. To this end we encourage members to put forward proposals for e.g. new hire equipment; that then just needs a 75% agreement (to ensure consensus), and then we go about adding it (subject to sufficient funds being in place at the time).
And we welcome proposals on anything regarding our services.
THE 75/25 APPROACH
Our members provide the pedal power for everything that we do. We want to give back to them directly. As well as being committed to total retention of any funds in the project, we also formally commit to ensuring that, at least, 75% of membership income is put straight back into expanding our hire offering, to the benefit of all. The remaining 25% goes on running costs, if these exceed that, we have to source funds from other channels.
The beauty of having this basis, is that the more members we have, the more our offering expands, and the more we can help other families discover the joys of local cycling!
We will evidence this routinely both in our annual formally published accounts and online to make sure that this is transparent continuously in between these times.
NO-NONSENSE MEMBERSHIPS- BUILD & CANCEL ANYTIME
We have a range of memberships to ensure that you can select what you want to pay for (and not pay for what you don't!) You can also hold more than one membership to truly configure & personalise for what you need.
We don't think you'll want to leave. But if your requirements change all our memberships are fully cancellable at any time, rolling monthly only. No fuss cancellation at any point.
We also offer a range of memberships outside of pure equipment hire: that includes cycling training & safety course membership; and our pedestrian membership- complete with all of our perks!
What's more, for true accessibility, we offer a complimentary memberships for those with the desire to ride, but without the ability to pay. Looking to donate? You will be gifted a complimentary membership in return for your good deed!
NO ORDINARY BIKE HIRE CLUB- MEMBER PERKS, SAFETY TRAINING... AND MUCH MORE BESIDES
Our ambition is to help nurture a community of mutually-supporting local cycling fanatics, who feel valued and confident to cycle for all their needs. Nothing less.
This is why we setup our suite of membership perks, so that even when you are not hiring, the support stays with you and is invaluable to achieving this aim for every rider.
This range of perks currently include; complimentary safety equipment hire (helmet, lights, hi-vis); complimentary induction & bikeability training; uniquely discounted private cycling insurance coverage; insurance on our fleet of family cycles; complimentary kids arts activities.. and last but certainly not least complimentary club coffee! No ordinary brew!
BUYING OPTIONS (COMING SOON!)
We are deeply fond of every item in our hire fleet. We love the accessibility that cycle hire creates, for families to see if they could enjoy the benefits of cycling locally as a family, without the large initial outlay that normally comes along with this choice. We also know that not every saddle fits first time. This is why we are a hire club, you can keep trying different items, each very individual, each one bringing its own special joy to your cycling experience.
And then, if you find you really can never be parted from your latest setup (we know this feeling well!), we will endeavour to facilitate providing a route to buy, one that benefits local family pockets with a tiny bit of change shared for the club as a whole also.
(We don't hold any quantity of new product, nor do we plan to, that might otherwise just gather dust! This is not our game!)
SOCIAL OBJECTIVES IN OUR DNA
We are guided by our founding statement as a CIC. We are committed to delivering genuine accessibility to cycling capacity for all our community's requirements. This is chiefly with the aim to improve local well-being, take some congestion off the roads and clean up our local air for all our community, young and old.
We will leave no stone unturned in this quest. We are also very passionate about reducing waste & repurposing local cycling equipment for the greater good. We accept donations and will always match someone in need locally to keep those pedals-a-turning!
We will even grant complimentary memberships for any donation made! The virtuous circle is alive and well!
